CrowdStrike ZTA Only Works on macOS or Windows when Both Have Been Configured

Multi-Factor Authentication
Okta Identity Engine

Overview

The CrowdStrike ZTA integration with Okta is working, but it only gathers ZTA scores for Windows or macOS, even though both operating systems have been configured for reporting.

Applies To

  • Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
  • CrowdStrike ZTA
  • Device integrations
  • Windows
  • macOS

Cause

The Endpoint security integration with Crowdstrike is set up for only one operating system. For CrowsStrike to read the ZTA score for Windows and Mac devices, both must be selected as supported platforms.

Solution

  1. Go to Security > Device Integrations > Endpoint security.

Device Integrations

  1. Click Actions (Edit).

Device Integrations

  1. Ensure that both operating systems are selected and click Save.
