Okta does not offer the standard Okta Verify application for Windows through the Microsoft App Store. Administrators must download the installer directly from the Okta Admin Console or deploy it via Mobile Device Management tools.

Why is Okta Verify for Windows absent from the Microsoft App Store?
Okta does not plan to make the standard Okta Verify application for Windows available through the Microsoft App Store. Okta advises against using the Microsoft App Store package when configuring features such as Desktop Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Administrators and users must use official distribution methods to install Okta Verify.
The modern version of Okta Verify requires the Okta Identity Engine (OIE). Download the Windows client directly from the Okta Admin Console, deploy the installer via Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, or instruct end-users to install the application from the Okta End-User Dashboard.
- Official Distribution Method: Download the Windows client directly from the Okta Admin Console by navigating to Settings > Downloads. The Windows version often requires administrators to pass specific installation flags, such as the unique organization URL, during the installation process. The application installs at the system level to support features like Okta FastPass and Desktop MFA.
- Deployment: Deploy the executable (.exe) or Windows Installer package (.msi) via MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune or VMware Workspace ONE.
- End-User Installation: Sign in to the organization's Okta End-User Dashboard, select the user name, navigate to Settings, and follow the setup instructions under the Security Methods or Extra Verification section to install Okta Verify on a Windows machine.
NOTE: A legacy Windows phone and mobile version of Okta Verify might appear in some Microsoft App Store listings, but this version is deprecated and does not support modern features like passwordless login or Okta FastPass.
