Solution
There is currently no estimated time of arrival (ETA) or official roadmap for the release of an offline YubiKey factor for Desktop MFA on macOS. The only offline factor presently supported for this functionality is the Okta Verify one-time password, as detailed in the Desktop MFA Supported Factors documentation.
To request the addition of the YubiKey factor for offline use on macOS, a feature enhancement request can be submitted through the Okta Ideas portal.
