Error "Api validation failed: classicApplicationUri" is Received when Saving Default Application for Sign-In Widget

Overview
When setting a URL for the AppLink value when configuring the Default Application for Sign-In Widget, the following error is received:
Api validation failed: classicApplicationUri.
The goal of this article is to clarify how to get past this error.

- Okta Classic Engine
- Sign-In Widget
Solution
- Navigate to Security > API.
- Click Trusted Origins.
- Click Add Origin.
- Enter Origin name.
- Enter Origin URL. This should be the same URL you will be entering for AppLink.
- Select the following checkboxes: Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) and Redirect.
- Click Save.
- An error will no longer be received when entering that URL for AppLink value for Default Application for Sign-In Widget.
NOTE: If the above steps did not resolve the issue in Okta Classic, please open a ticket with Okta Support and refer to this article to have Okta Support verify that the necessary feature flags are enabled on the tenant.
