Overview

Amplitude push group fails with the following error visible in the Okta dashboard:

Changes to the Group push mapping for the group <group name> could not take effect due to error: Error while creating user group <group name>: Internal Server Error. Errors reported by remote server: Invalid JSON: Unrecognized token 'Internal': was expecting (JSON String, Number, Array, Object or token 'null', 'true' or 'false')

Cause

The group push failed because the API token used for creating the API connection is invalid.

Solution
  1. Go to Okta Admin Console and navigate to Applications > Applications Amplitude > Provisioning > Integration > Edit.
  2. Enter the SCIM Key provided by Amplitude as the API Token.
  3. Click Test API Credentials, verify the connection was successful, and then click Save.
  4. Navigate to the Push Groups tab, and attempt to push the group again.
