Option to Add the Okta LDAP Interface Is Unavailable

Overview
The option to add the Okta LDAP Interface does not appear in the list of directories to add when the administrator lacks Super Administrator permissions, the interface is already active, or it is currently inactive. Verify administrator permissions, check for an existing active configuration, or reactivate an inactive LDAP Interface to resolve this issue.

Cause
The Okta LDAP Interface does not appear in the list of directories to add if the administrator lacks Super Administrator permissions, if the interface is already active, or if it is currently inactive from a previous deactivation. Okta allows only one LDAP Interface configuration per organization.

Solution
How is the Okta LDAP Interface added?
Administrators require Super Administrator permissions to perform these steps. Add the Okta LDAP Interface by navigating to the Directory Integrations page in the Admin Console and selecting the "Add" option.
- Navigate to Admin > Directory > Directory Integrations, and click Add Directory.
- Click Add LDAP Interface.

How is an inactive Okta LDAP Interface reactivated?
Reactivate an inactive LDAP Interface by navigating to the Inactive tab in the Directory Integrations page and updating the integration status.
- Navigate to Admin > Directory > Directory Integrations, and click the Inactive tab to reveal all inactive directory integrations.

- Click the inactive LDAP Interface integration.
- Click the Inactive dropdown menu, and then click Activate.
