Amazon Web Services Application is Missing From the Okta Integration Network Catalog

Okta Integration Network
Okta Classic Engine

Overview

The Amazon Web Services application appears missing from the Okta Integration Network (OIN) catalog because Okta renamed the application to AWS Account Federation. The application provides the exact same functionality and integration features as before. Administrators searching for the original application name in the updated catalog cannot locate the integration.

Applies To

  • Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
  • Okta Classic Engine
  • Okta Integration Network (OIN)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • AWS Account Federation

Cause

Okta renamed the application to reflect its specific functionality within the new interface. In the classic Add Application interface, Okta listed the application as Amazon Web Services. In the updated Browse App Catalog interface, Okta titles the application AWS Account Federation.

Solution

How do administrators locate the renamed Amazon Web Services application?

Navigate to the application catalog and search for the new application name to locate the integration.

  1. Navigate to the Browse App Catalog interface.
  2. Search for AWS Account Federation in the OIN catalog.
  3. Select the application to configure the integration.
