Overview

This article addresses an issue where users are prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on every login. The Okta System Log report shows the following behavior:

Behaviors{New Geo-Location=NEGATIVE, New Device=NEGATIVE, New IP=NEGATIVE, New State=NEGATIVE, 
New Country=NEGATIVE, Velocity=NEGATIVE, New City=BAD_REQUEST}


BAD_REQUEST

Cause

The BAD_REQUEST value appears because the geolocation data for the city field is blank.
City field 

 

Solution

Create a case with Okta Support to request a data correction submission to correct the geolocation.
