Overview

The ServiceNow Application integration has been established with Provisioning API enabled within the Okta organization. Group push into the Application has also been configured. An Active Directory group, complete with a designated manager, has been synchronized to Okta and successfully pushed to ServiceNow. The manager attribute is present for each group within ServiceNow. Is it possible to push the manager attribute, along with the group push, from Okta to the ServiceNow application?

Solution

The Group Push feature facilitates the push of existing Okta groups and their memberships to third-party applications that have been enabled for provisioning. This feature only creates the designated groups within the assigned application and updates user memberships.


It is not possible to utilize Group Push to push attributes. The manager attribute, however, can be mapped to the Okta user profile and pushed to the ServiceNow application using Provisioning and Profile Editor.
