Overview
Microsoft Office 365 groups fail to update in Okta due to missing or irregular import schedules. Administrators must configure a scheduled import or perform a manual import to synchronize the groups and restore application access for affected users. When this issue occurs, Microsoft Office 365 groups display outdated membership counts in the Okta directory.

Microsoft Office 365 groups do not update in Okta due to missing or irregular import schedules.
Solution
How are Microsoft Office 365 groups synchronized in Okta?
Verify the group membership counts, configure a scheduled import for the Active Directory (AD) integration, and perform a manual import to synchronize the groups.
- Navigate to Directory > Groups and confirm that the Microsoft Office 365 groups display outdated membership counts.
- Navigate to Directory > Directory Integrations and select the AD integration.
- Select the Settings tab and scroll to the Import and Provisioning section.
- Locate the Schedule Import option and select the desired import interval.
- Click Save.
- Alternatively, select the Import tab and click Import Now to perform a manual import.
