Overview

The Office 365 Sign-in default rule is configured as "Allowed access" instead of "Deny access".

Applies To

  • Office 365 (O365)
  • App Sign-in rule

Cause

It is expected to see the default sign-in rule set to "Allowed access" in older Office 365 deployments.

Solution

The following options are available to change such behavior:

  • Create a new "Deny access" sign-in rule above the default "Allowed access".

  • Delete and recreate the O365 instance in order to use the new Office 365 app version.
