New Worker Nodes Do Not Appear in Okta Access Gateway Admin Status After High Availability Addition
Last Updated:
Overview
After adding new worker nodes to Okta Access Gateway (OAG) High Availability (HA), the new nodes do not appear in the admin console status. This occurs because the initial HA synchronization with new nodes does not generate a status update. Trigger a change event by editing and saving any application to update the status and resolve the issue. When checking the HA status in the OAG management console (5 - System > 8 - High Availability > 6 - Check Status), the new worker nodes do not appear in the list.
Applies To
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Okta Classic Engine
- Okta Access Gateway (OAG) High Availability (HA)
Cause
The initial High Availability (HA) synchronization with new nodes does not generate a status update.
Solution

Trigger a change event to update the status by editing and saving any application.
- Edit any application in the Okta Access Gateway admin console.
