- This article is relevant for Okta administrators who configure regex for IDP filters on the Okta platform.
Solution
The maximum length of regex that can be configured in the IDP filter on Okta is 1024 characters. To configure the regex for the SAML IDP configuration, go to the Authentication Settings and then to the Filter section. Please ensure that the regex configured does not exceed the limit of 1024 characters.
NOTE! The limit of 1024 characters is significantly less than the limit of over 10,000 characters for routing rule regex matching.
