Logs Download or Application Update Prompt to Login Everytime in Chrome Browser

Overview

The log download option in the Admin UI prompts for login every time and does not proceed. The same issue was observed when trying to update an application.

Below is the behavior when the admin lands on the log download option:

  1. The following error is displayed:

Failed to complete log download task on worker node(s). Add a log forwarder or select a different date.

Error Message 

  1. When clicking on Change date, the user gets a prompt to log in.
    Login button 

The behavior gets repeated when the user logs in.

Solution

Clear Chrome browser cache using below steps: 

  1. Copy and paste chrome://net-internals/#dns in the Chrome address bar. This will bring the Clear host cache option, as shown below:
    "Clear host cache" option  

  2. Click on the Clear Host Cache option. 
  3. Go to chrome://settings/clearBrowserData and clear browser history. 
  4. Restart Chrome and try again the steps to download logs from Admin UI or to update an application.
