Reversing the "Expire All Passwords" Action

Overview

This article will discuss the possibility of reverting the "Expire Passwords" action performed and confirmed by a Super Admin User.

  • Expiring all users Password
Solution

To do so, go to Admin > Directory > People > click on More Actions > select Expire Passwords from the dropdown menu > click on the Expire Passwords button

Confirm Expiration of all okta sourced passwords

 

Currently, there is no way to revert the changes after the action has taken place.

 

NOTE: For further investigation, the following system log filter can be used to review the logs when the action was executed.

eventType eq "user.lifecycle.password_mass_expiry"
