Okta Agent Unable to Complete the Installation - Authentication Page Comes Up but without the Option to Enter a Username/Password

Overview

When attempting to install the Okta RADIUS agent and/or Active Directory (AD) agent on a server, the installation proceeds smoothly until it prompts for authentication. The authentication page comes up, but there is no place to enter a username/password.

Solution

Internet Explorer settings for IE Enhanced Security Configuration are enabled.

  1. Go to Server Manager.
  2. Under Local Server, check the settings for IE Enhanced Security Configuration. This should be turned off.
  3. Alternatively, open internet options and add either https://*.okta.com or the exact Okta URL into the trusted site's security section.
