This article describes how to disable the recovery security question.
- Password Policies
Okta Classic Engine
- Navigate to Security > Authentication.
- Under Password, go to Account Recovery.
- Under the Additional self-service recovery option, disable Security Question > Update Policy.
- If the Security Question option is not available, please contact Okta Support.
Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Navigate to Security > Authenticators.
- Under Password, select the password policy in question, select the rule in question, and click Edit.
- Under the Recovery authenticators, disable Only Security question > Update Rule.
- If the Security Question option is not available, please contact Okta Support.
