This document provides details on how to enable or disable Email as a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) option, and how to disable or enable Email for Authentication and Recovery, or just for Recovery.

Solution
Follow the steps or video below.
- Log in to the Okta Admin Console.
- Navigate to Security > Authenticators.
- Click Add authenticator to add Email to the list of eligible authenticator options. Alternatively, disable Email as an authenticator by clicking Actions > Delete.
- Choose whether the authenticator can be used specifically for Authentication and recovery or Recovery only.
