Solution

Admins can create custom notifications to send to their end users. On this page, custom notifications can be viewed that were sent out, messages can be deleted, and new custom messages can be created.   Follow the steps or video below.

  1. Navigate to the Admin Dashboard > Dashboard > Notifications.
  2. Create a new notification – Select the Send New Message button, and enter the message to send out in the new notification dialog that opens. The message is limited to 150 characters. The message can be sent to either all the users in the org (including admins) or to specific users or groups. To send the message to all the users in the org, select Everyone at "Send message to".
  3. Delete a notification – Select the delete (X) icon adjacent to the message to delete. A Delete Message confirmation dialog opens. Please note that once deleted, the users cannot refer back to it in their message history.
  4. Viewing the Notifications – The users are notified of the new message via a circular icon adjacent to the Notifications button on their end-user dashboard. The icon contains a number, reflecting the number of new notifications the user has pending. The users can click the Notifications button to see the new notifications and the previously viewed messages.

  1. Once the new notification is viewed, the circular icon disappears, informing the user that there are no new notifications.
