Administrators often need to change a logo, background image, favicon, or customize colors for an Okta tenant. Update the branding themes directly within the Okta Admin Console to apply these visual customizations to the sign-in page, End-User Dashboard, and error pages.

How are branding themes customized in the Okta Admin Console?

Navigate to the customization settings in the Okta Admin Console, upload the desired images for the logo, background, and favicon, and configure the theme application for specific pages as detailed in either the video demonstration or the written instructions.

1. Navigate to the Okta Admin Console.
2. Navigate to Customizations > Brands.
3. Select the desired Okta subdomain.
4. Navigate to the Theme tab.

5. Edit the Logo, Background, and Favicon by selecting the pencil icon and uploading the desired images.
6. Match the Primary color with the predominant color from the logo.

7. After customizing the theme, click Save to save the changes.
8. Navigate to the Pages section.
9. Select where to apply the theme by selecting Configure for the Sign-in page, End-User Dashboard, or Error pages.

10. Select the Image background or Solid background from the list and apply it by selecting Save and publish.

NOTE:

• Logo - Maximum file size 1MB. Recommended: PNG, landscape orientation, transparent background. Minimum: 420px x 120px.
• Background - Maximum file size 2 MB. Used for the Sign-in page, the Error page, and emails.
• Favicon - Maximum dimensions 512 x 512. 1:1 ratio. The file must be a PNG.
• If users do not see updated images, ask them to clear their browser cache to ensure the latest images are loaded.
