This article explains whether or not End users are notified when policies are modified/changed in Okta.

Okta will not notify End users of changes to policies configured in Okta. An event will be generated in the System Logs to reflect that change; however, users who do not have access to the logs will not be aware of the change.

To find the events inside the System logs, please use the following queries:

• Policy Creation - eventType eq "policy.lifecycle.create"
• Policy Update - eventType eq "policy.lifecycle.update"
• Policy Rule creation - eventType eq "policy.rule.add"
• Policy Rule update - eventType eq "policy.rule.update"
