This article explains how to manage the visibility of the following banner and the Privacy Policy footer on the Okta login screen. The banner or footer may appear unexpectedly during the sign-in process, depending on the organization's configuration.

The appearance of the Connecting to... banner and the Privacy Policy footer is expected behavior. Visibility depends on the following configuration scenarios:

Scenario 1: The organization uses a custom domain.

Scenario A: The organization does not customize the sign-in page. The application banner and the footer appear.

Scenario B: The organization customizes the sign-in page. The application banner and the footer do not appear.

NOTE: This includes saving the custom code editor without changing the default template.

Scenario 2: The organization does not use a custom domain.

The organization cannot use a customized sign-in page. The application banner and the footer appear.

To restore the Connecting to... banner and the Privacy Policy footer, use one of the following methods:
- Reset to Default. The simplest method to restore the banner and footer is to switch off the Code Editor.
- Navigate to Customization > Branding > Pages.
- Select Configure for the Sign-In Page.
- Toggle off the Code Editor.
- If the above option is not feasible and customizations are needed in the Widget, write a custom code to restore the banner and footer.
