During a Comma-Separated Values (CSV) Directory import, users are removed and then re-added during the subsequent import. This article provides information regarding this behavior.
- CSV Import
- Okta Provisioning Agent (OPP)
- Older versions of the Okta Provisioning Agent (OPP) agent can omit lines from Comma-Separated Values (CSV) files, truncating imports. This behavior results in users being removed and then re-added during the next import.
- The imported CSV file is corrupt.
- Confirm the most recent version of the Okta Provisioning Agent (OPP) is in use to eliminate the truncation of Comma-Separated Values (CSV) files.
- If the issue persists, create a new CSV file for imports to prevent file corruption.
- Uninstall the previous Okta Provisioning Agent.
- To reuse the existing configuration, choose not to delete the OPP configuration and Application Programming Interface (API) Token. Choosing to delete removes the agent configuration data and the API Token from the server's hard drive. The API token for the server remains valid in Okta.
- Install the Okta Provisioning Agent again, following the documentation steps.
- In the Admin Console, go to Dashboard > Agents.
- Confirm that the reinstalled Okta Provisioning Agent appears in the list.
- Select the Activate drop-down menu of the old provisioning agent and then select Deactivate. The status changes to Inactive.
