The 8x8 Inc application provisioning flow fails with the following error visible in the Okta dashboard:
Automatic provisioning of user <user> to app 8x8 Inc failed: Error while creating user <user> :Conflict. Errors reported by remote server: fail: Login id <loginid> is already in use

The same user ID created in Okta already exists on the 8x8 Admin Console account.

Okta SCIM management of 8x8 Admin Console users requires that those users be created in Okta first and then synced to 8x8 Admin Console. In this case, any existing users created from the 8x8 Admin Console must first be deleted and then recreated from Okta. Only then will synchronization work.
NOTE: Basic Okta SSO login will work for 8x8 Admin Console users, regardless of where the user account was initially created.

As suggested in 8x8 Inc documentation, delete the existing user created from the 8x8 Admin Console.

Afterward, go to Okta Admin Console and attempt the failed tasks again. Navigate to Dashboard > Tasks. Any failed assignments should appear under Tasks.
- After locating the failed task for the user that needs to be retried, click Retry Selected.
