I keep getting sms codes why?

Someone keeps sending me sms sign in codes from this company I’m trying to figure out why who’s using my phone number or what account my phone number has been added to so I can see what’s really going on here

    Hello @MichaelG.42569 (Customer)​  There could be a number of companies you could have an account with that might not be aware of, as they use Okta to secure the login into their service and for Multifactor authentication, that beeing said from our side there is not much in this case. You can currently ignore the SMS if you have not initiated any login attempt.

    Do you have an account with a company that uses Okta for authentication? There a may companies that use Okta for the authentication process and to secure the login to their application.

    Unfortunately from our side we do not a way to locate to which company you might have an account with or where that SMS is coming from.

      I do not have any account with you guys that I am aware of besides the one I had to make to do this post which is why I’m wondering why anybody would bother trying to sign up with my phone number? What would the purpose of this be? I’m not even too sure what it is that you guys do or what services it is that you offer so any information you could provide me with as to why someone might want to use my number or possibly explain to me what services you offer would be greatly appreciated
