Delete my OKTA user account without admin rights, impossible?

I was added to OKTA via a vendor portal that I was supposed to sign in to, this was 2016 (not used since ages). Now because I still get newsletters from OKTA I tried to delete my account, not in use anymore. Have sent wish to two different e-mails, one answered it was only a sales channel and the other not in use anymore, you have to go to the community or open a case if you're admin. I am not admin I just want to delete my account and all data can someone pls help me with this.

 

Yes, I'm irritated and frustrated.

    Sorry to hear that this is causing you frustration.  

    You can configure the mailing preference by going to the Okta Help Center page on support.okta.com , once signed in, click on your user icon (top right) and select “Email preferences” from the dropdown.  

    You can also email community_unsubscribe@okta.com , to unsubscribe from Okta Community emails.

    Tx for answer but didn’t answer my main question, how I delete myself and my data from OKTA user account. E-mail preference & unsubscribe will not delete data. I want to close my account, be deleted as users and all data deleted.

    • It depends on what type of user account you are referring to. If you set up the account to gain access to Applications and services via SSO and other features, then the user account management is handled by the administrators of each individual organization. 

      You mentioned that you were added to Okta via a vendor portal. You will need to reach out to the vendor to have your account deleted.  

       

      If you are referring to the Okta Community user account, I can submit an internal request to have it deleted. 

      Please let me know if you want to proceed with that.
