    I've reviewed the Atlassian documentation on the subject and it's not explicitly mentioned, but it would not be uncommon for a re-authentication to be required before making account changes pertaining to Security. And if Okta is your IDP (identity provider) in this case, it would be expected to be redirected there for the authentication process.  

     

    My advice would be to discuss the matter with Atlassian Support to clarify, as that particular setting would be their purview.
