nqqzt (nqqzt) asked a question.

Using OAuth 2 with a custom user database

We are looking to implement OAuth 2, but we have an existing user database within our infrastructure that we want to validate username and passwords against.

I'm confused by the options in Okta and can't see how to do this. "Auth0 achieve this using Custom Database Connections" (https://auth0.com/docs/connections/database/custom-db/create-db-connection). Does Okta support similar functionality?

OKTA support a lot of Identity Providers as mentioned below. Apart from these OKTA also support IDP through generic OpenID Connect or SAML.

    • Azure AD
    • Facebook
    • Google
    • LinkedIn
    • Microsoft
    • Okta to Okta
    • OpenID Connect
    • SAML 2.0

There is no way to integrate the RDB as Identity provider.
