lhn7y (lhn7y) asked a question.

Dynamics 365 Organization Service Connection via Okta

We have Dynamics 365 deployed with Claims Based IFD. Authenticating though Okta works but when I try to access Dynamics 365 Organization Services via ASP.NET, the following error is returned:

"Unable to Login to Dynamics CRMOrganizationServiceProxy is nullOrganizationServiceProxy is null" and "The authentication endpoint Username was not found on the configured Secure Token Service!"

I am successfully able to connect to Dynamics Organization Services via a console application. If I disable IFD connection to the Organization Services works. What are some methods/suggestions to connecting to Dynamics 365 Organization Services via web applications?

I am also encountering this issue. Unfortunately, it may not be possible to successfully authenticate against the CRM web services while using a non-ADFS identity provider. In a typical IFD setup for CRM, the ADFS server will have a 'username" endpoint listening to accept the message sent by the client. I am not sure if there really is any way around this. I would imagine that MS would have to update the CRM SDK to better support third party identity providers like Okta.
