Passthrough authentication to ADFS

We are trying to get ServiceNow to passthrough Okta to a customers ADFS. We have added ADFS to IDP Providers and it is successful.

However, we can find no way to configure the ServiceNow UD application to make use of this IDP.

Is there a document that clear identifies how to assign IDP users to the app? What steps are there between configuring an IDP and assigning its users to an application?

  • Hi Donny,

Our ServiceNow application is assuming that Okta will be the IdP and can't be configured to allow for another IdP. A possible workaround would be to create a Bookmark App that points to the customer's ServiceNow instance to invoke a SP-initiated login. This would allow you to handle assignments via Okta -- the user would click the app, be redirected to ServiceNow, and would then be directed to log into ADFS (assuming ServiceNow is configured to allow for an SP-initiated login).

    Thanks,
