Name, Company, Title:
Rocky Reyes, Turnitin, IT Engineer
Tell us a bit about yourself and your role:
I've been an IT Pro since the late 90's when there were not that many web based apps. I've worked mostly with Windows servers and workstations, Cisco devices, etc. These days I am supporting mostly Macintosh clients and mobile devices. Most of our apps are cloud based. I am the “Oktafier” here in the office.
How long have you been an Okta customer?
We have been using Okta for about 1 year now.
How has your role evolved since first using Okta?
I started integrating SWA apps and slowly pushing them out, which was pretty straightforward. Lately I have been collaborating with app vendors to implement SAML with applications that are both in and out of the OAN. I have also been the Okta advocate here in the office, motivating people to get logged in.
What's your best advice for someone just starting with Okta?
Gather as much info as possible about your apps before starting. Experiment with each of the MFA offerings. Challenge the support team. Attend Oktane. Join the Ozone.
How would you describe your company culture?
We fall somewhere between a startup and a mature business in terms of culture. Relaxed, yet structured.
What keeps you coming back to the Okta Community?
Any question I ask is answered fairly quickly. Users are very knowledgeable and friendly.
