Here's my scenario: Our google apps domain was set up under a different name. The company has since rebranded and added the new name as a subdomain.
Has anyone found a way to create a group in AD, have it import into Okta and then push it out to Google Apps while retaining all the users?
What I've done so far: Created the group in AD, added a few members (who have been assigned the google apps app in Okta), waited for Okta to import the group, went into Google Apps and used the Push Group feature.
This indeed pushes the group into Google Apps and retains all the members. The only issue is It automatically creates the email address by appending the group name to the primary google apps domain.
Curious if anyone has found a way to customize the email field so that it uses the new domain (subdomain) name. Creating a new google apps domain and migrating from the current to the new isn't ideal for our situation.
Thank you for the community participation. My apologies, I'm a little unclear with your reference...

If you're trying to provision users to a Google Apps domain with a domain suffix that's different than the domain configured in your Google Apps app, you might be presented with provisioning errors. This request sounds like a great candidate for a support ticket to take a closer look at your environment and evaluate your options.
Im not trying to provision users to google apps. Ive already tested this process and it works when i manually map the attributes from okta to google apps. Basically the problem is, i create a DL group in AD called...TestGroup. Okta imports the group into Okta, i got into applications > google apps > push groups, select the Test Group group to push to google apps, go into google apps, confirmed the group does indeed show up in there with all the members i added in AD. The only problem is the email address for the group is auto generated by taking the name of the group and appending the suffix of the primary google apps domain. I want a way to modify this email field so that we can change the suffix to a subdomain in google apps.
I put in a case for this and a tech mentioned there is currently no way to do this and suggested I put it in the community forums and see if we can get this voted for future features but i wasn't sure where to put it. Just wanted to see if anyone had found any workarounds or if this can be moved to the requested features space.
