When Editing SAML Setting -> Attributes causes 500 error on export saml

I am trying to create a SAML2 application. When editing the SAML Setting and attempting to assign an attribute statement it causes an internal server error.

The following attribute statements succeed:

FirstName -> ${user.firstName}
LastName -> ${user.lastName}
Email -> ${user.email}

As soon as I add the following attribute statement I get "internal server error"

Organization -> ${user.organization}

There is a value associated with the key for people related to the application.

Any help is appriciated.

Hi Thomas
Try it without the ${ }, in other words, just
user.organization
user.firstName
etc
This works for a SAML Wizard app. If that doesn't work for you, let me know what kind of SAML app you're using (wizard, template, OAN, etc).

Thanks,

Gabriel Sroka

Perfect! Works like a champ. Thank you for the speedy response.  Your documentation on http://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/setting_up_a_saml_application_in_okta.html is where I got the naming convention.

Hi Thomas
I'm glad that worked. And thanks for catching the error. I've put in a request to update the doc. This doc:
http://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/spring_security_saml.html
has a correct sample.

Thanks.

And when will Okta be correcting the invalid synatax in  http://developer.okta.com/docs/guides/setting_up_a_saml_application_in_okta.html   ?
REALLY frustrating!
