For certain reasons we cannot enable SAML for these apps, so I was investigating the use of the random password option that Okta offers. We have both apps and both of them are using the same Crowd directory for authentication. So, if I use the random password option from within Okta, both of them will try to push a random password that will overwrite one the other.
I do not want to push the Okta password (which solves the issue), I want to push a truly random password that will be great from a security point of view.
I am aware of that. The problem is that if two applications offer to provide a random password and push it to the same directory, then it becomes impossible to follow which password is active every time.
I am not sure if I am getting the meaning out correctly.
