Using okta with external identity provider

Hi,

I want to use Okta to authenticate our customers, but use Azure AD to authenticate staff (including logging into the okta admin portal)

I have added Azure as an external identity provider, but no idea how to actually login using our Azure AD credentials? Does the okta login page automatically redirect to the azure login page when the username matches the Regex or something?

No, the login will not redirect for SAML logins.

Instead you should get the Assertion Consumer Service URL from your Identity Provider in Okta and provide that to users.

Alternatively you can the Azure AD IdP URL to users. I'm not sure how that works.

IWA (Integrated Windows Authentication) is amazing if you can get it working with Azure AD. It gives users seamless login akin to visiting a domain-authenticated network share.
