We just enabled provisioning on our O365 application and turn off dirsync, what is the mechanism to sync
Our DirSync was turned off in AD to O365, then enabled the provisioning in O365, how does the data get pushed? We have enanbled our O365 provisioning and turned off DirSync, somehow changes in okta and AD does not seem to propagate to O365 GAL on people tab.
Hello Daniel. I'd recommend opening a case with Okta Support. I think there may be additional details to provide.
- What aren't you seeing in the GAL on Office 365? Are you not seeing new users that created show up there? Are you not seeing contacts? Are you not seeing changes in email addresses for a user? - Are you configured to provision attribute updates? - Are you using the Universal Sync option for the Office 365 app in Okta?
Office 365 also has a lot of changes that can "take up to 24 hours to take effect". Although, usually it's much quicker if not immediate. You may wish to confirm there isn't a delay in the changes. You note the People tab in Office 365, so I assume this is right out of the browser. But if it's from a rich-client like Outlook, you may need to download the updated GAL.
