We have a user that was deleted from OKTA and their Yubikey was not deactivated before the deleting. Now I cannot Delete the Yubikey its stuck in an active state. The Okta portal says to reset MFA on the user before it can be deleted. User doesn’t exist anymore so I am unable to do so. Anyone run into this before. I would like to remove this key.
In this case, I would recommend attempting to follow the steps provided under the following documentation, under Removing Lost, Stolen, or Invalid YubiKeys: https://support.okta.com/help/Documentation/Knowledge_Article/Using-YubiKey-Authentication-in-Okta Also, you can refer to the following doc: https://www.yubico.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Programming_YubiKeys_for_Okta.pdf If you have any issues removing it, please feel free to open a Support Ticket if possible, and we will gladly assist you.
