Okta Agent selection to Run an import or perform a task

Since we cannot prioritise the Agents to perform tasks, What is the approach Okta follows to select an LDAP agent out of two agents to run an import or process a request?

LaRon WalkerLaRon Walker (Okta, Inc.)
Hello,

All Okta agents (even LDAP) establish connections with Okta for up to 30s. If there is an event (such as an del auth challenge or Import) waiting at Okta or if one gets created within 30s, any of our agents can grab it, then the connection closes. The agent then immediately opens a new connection for up to 30s and listens for new events.  If there are no events within the 30s window, the connection closes and the Okta agent initiates a new one.

Please note each Okta agent typically will keep 2 polling threads active.

Okta processes the request with the next available agent thread.  Please note this is not a round robin or sticky session scenario.

Currently there isn't a way to control which agent processes imports or which agent processes any Okta event.

I hope this helps.
