Importing and activating users from AD with email notifications sent to users

Hello,

I've started activating accounts for users in our AD domain. The first batch of users did not receive an email notification. I've since figured out that I need to check off a box in Settings. How do I get a notification email sent to those users? Do I have to remove them and then re-activate them? Thanks.

Thank you for contacting Okta Support.

In order for the newly imported users from AD to receive the "Welcome to Okta" email, the checkbox located in your Okta Admin Console -> Directory -> Directory Integrations -> AD -> Settings -> "Don't send new user activation emails for this domain" has to be unchecked.

In order for the already imported users to receive the email, you'll have to either delete them and then recreate them or just deactivate and reactivate them.
