Google Hangouts with Okta GSuite app (SAML)

Is okta planning to include Google Hangouts with Okta GSuite app?

All GSuite services enabled for your domain are accessible when authenticating through Okta. But as of now, we have no plans to include a separate Hangouts app.

if this is something you'd like to see, I encourage you to file a feature request in the Okta Community. Once a feature request is submitted it is visible to other Okta admins, who can vote on it. Using this method will allow you to monitor your request throughout the process.

You can hack the URL for accessing the admin console to get this working it seems:

https://google.com/a/<GOOGLE_DOMAIN>/ServiceLogin?service=CPanel&continue=https://hangouts.google.com&skipvpage=true&cpbps=1&passive=3600&authuser=0&msg=SESSION_TIMED_OUT

For me this pushes the user directly into the Okta auth process in the same way as the embed links that Okta provide for Mail/Cal/Drive.

Just change the bit in bold to whatever service you want to drop the user into after auth is finished.

I take this URL and mask it behind an Okta 'Bookmark App' so as to not expose the URL structure any more than necessary.

YMMV
