I am setting up a SAML 2.0 application and it does allow me to configure a Logout URL so the user can be sent back to Okta dashboard.
I saw an old question here where the person was told to use the genric URL for the Dashboard. This works but this is just a basic redirection, not really an endpoint that receives the SAML Logout Request and processes it. For example, the audit logs do not show when the user logged out of the application...
Does Okta support SAML Logout Request?
NOTE: I am not insterested in the Single Logout feature, this is a diferent thing, I do not want the user to get loged out of Okta when logging out of the application.
That flow would only be supported by implementing the Single Logout feature. Because of how Single Logout works, it would include the SAML Logout Request, that would close the common session. Since the Logout URL is just a redirect, there is indeed no log processing that would note when this occurs. The best chance to log it would be to check the SP logs for logout events. I hope this helps.
