Searching across User Profile fields

I'm trying to search for users where either firstName, lastName or email contain a piece of text.
I see filtering/search in the API documentation and the (pr)esent operator but trying to use it result in "invalid search criteria".
Using (eq)uals works so where can I / can't I use 'pr' and how can i achieve the above?

Hi Martinn,

Thanks for posting your inquiry in Okta Community Portal.

Lists Users (Okta User API) in majority of organizations uses pagination in most cases. A subset of users can be returned that match a supported filter expression or search criteria. Below are a couple of links that will guide you on using List Users with Filter & Search parameters:

JPM, thanks for that but it doesn't answer the question. Can I use 'pr' to search for text in firstname, lastname or email? Martin
