We have just transitioned to Windows 10 and trying to use OneDrive as our primary cloud syncing application for staff. As part of this transition, when a person wants to sign into OneDrive, they are redirected to Okta to approve the login. For existing users, this process works great.
For brand new users - the issue we run into is that the end user has not yet setup their account with a secondary email/security question and we do not want our IT team to those up for the user. Is there a way for our IT team to work around this barrier?
We do not recommend to turn off the security question element of the user activation, due to the security reasons. But you can turn these off by simply going to your Okta admin dashboard :- 1. Security -> Authentication -> under your current password policy -> Account Recovery -> Additional self-service recovery option -> disable Security question -> Update Policy. 2. For disabling the Secondary Email go to Settings -> Customization -> Optional User Account Fields -> Secondary Email -> disable -> Save.
