Can I use YubiKey with Okta and OpenVPN Access Server?

We have got OpenVPN AS working with the Okta Radius Agent. Users can logon to the OpenVPN client with their Okta credentials and OTP, we would now like to add Yubikey authentication to this setup. Is this possible?

Hi Nick,

The RADIUS server should create a Mulifactor Challenge after a users authentication, if this is already configured then specifying the yubikey as an option within the Okta MFA and Sign On Policies will allow users to use which ever is their prefernce or based on how it is configured by admins.

The following article highlights how to setup yubikey within Okta. https://support.okta.com/help/articles/Knowledge_Article/Using-YubiKey-Authentication-in-Okta

Once the yubikey is configured you can enable the factor within your current RADIUS sign on policy which challenges for MFA for end users. This will allow those users with a yubikey to sign in without having to use push notifications.

Thank you.
