New Feature

Okta is pleased to announce the General Availability of our Import Safeguard feature, where Okta triggers an alert to warn against the unintended deprovisioning of a large number of apps from users within an org. Admins can also specify the threshold rate that triggers the safeguard when the system detects a high number of app unassignments. For details about Import Safeguard and adjusting the threshold, see Importing People.

iOS Support

On March 1, 2016, Okta will discontinue support for iOS 7.x. After that date, Okta Customer Support will no longer investigate issues related to iOS 7. For more details see Okta Mobile and Okta Verify Supported Versions. To learn about Okta’s version support information, see our new Supported Configurations page.

Okta Developer Platform Update

New Features

  • Admins can now expire an Active Directory-mastered user's Active Directory password using the Expire Password API in the Okta Users API. For more information, see Expire Password.

  • Okta now uses UTF8 character encoding for URI paths. This enhancement allows customers to use the Okta Users API to retrieve usernames that contain accented characters.

Bug Fixes

  • OKTA-73642 – Fixed an issue in the Authentication API where the expiresAt property wasn't included in some responses to SMS recovery challenge requests (/authn/recovery/factors/sms/resend).
  • OKTA-79388 – Fixed an issue where the MFA challenge did not reflect the preference chosen in the previous session.

Documentation for the Okta Developer Platform is available at http://developer.okta.com.
