New Features

  • The Okta Java SDK now exposes rate limiting information from the following HTTP headers:
    • X-RateLimit-Limit – The maximum number of requests allowed in a window.
    • X-RateLimit-Remaining – The number of requests remaining in the current window.
    • X-RateLimit-Reset – The time (in Unix time) when the server resets the request count.

This information allows admins to monitor their API usage proactively to determine when orgs are approaching API usage limits.

  • We have significantly reduced the time it takes to generate and download the CSV version of the Okta Usage report, especially for large orgs.

  • We are pleased to announce our powerful new Universal Directory integration with Salesforce.com is now Generally Available (GA). For more information, including limitations of this integration, see New Provisioning Integration with Salesforce.com.

These features are not currently available to existing Salesforce.com app instances, so you'll need to add a new Salesforce.com app instance to your org.

  • Our powerful new UD integration with SAManage to support additional profile attributes is now GA. Additionally, admins can now choose whether they import active users only. The image below lists all available SAManage attributes:

  • To improve how Okta handles importing countryCode attributes from Active Directory and other profile masters, we now convert 3-character and numeric country codes to 2 characters before saving the import job. Also, if your import violates an Okta database constraint, we now report the underlying exception directly in Okta, as shown below.
